Fundraising
In 2006, your Foundation began raising the funds needed to construct a two storey Primary Health Care Centre to house our newly appointed Haldimand Family Health Team. We are excited by the fact that we were among the first fifty-two sites awarded a Family Health Team and are confident that this new method of delivering healthcare services to our community will be a positive move toward attracting health care professionals to our beautiful community.
In 2011, your Foundation began raising funds to support Haldimand County’s first CT Scanner for the Diagnostic Imaging department in the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital. This equipment will enable our residents to have access to another current state-of-the-art technology which will assist in diagnosing cancer, stroke, abdominal pain, head injuries and many other illnesses where normal x-rays are not effective. This equipment will allow onsite diagnosis and avoid the need to send patients out of county.
It is only through the efforts and generosity of people like you that we have been able to achieve the great work being done at our Hospital. Haldimand War Memorial is truly a “community” hospital, built and maintained by the people it serves. You have great reason to be proud!
